Q: Steve, tell us a little bit about yourself.
A: [Holding a business card]. On my business cards I describe myself as a slave of Christ, husband, father, tentmaker, economist, and writer. These are the key points in my personal identity–the priorities that I aspire to.
Normally, our business card speak of our job responsibilities and the company that employs us. As a tentmaker, I divide my time between volunteer work in Hispanic ministry, writing, publishing, and blogging. Hopefully, each of my daily activities point to Jesus Christ.
How do I pay my bills? As a second career pastor, I rely on the pension that I earned in my first career as a financial engineer and economist.
